THE BLANKET BANK
The Blanket Bank is a project of giving and receiving, free from judgement, he ngākau aroha (work of the heart) which gives out free blankets and bedding to individuals and whānau across Ōtautahi. Hundreds of items are given out every year to help keep whānau and tamariki in our city warm.
We rely on donations from the general public to maintain our stock levels. If you can support us by making a donation, we'd be extremely grateful. We accept donations of clean, good condition blankets and duvet inners/covers, second-hand or new. Alternatively you can gift a monetary donation, allowing us to purchase items most needed.
The Blanket Bank is run by the Christchurch Methodist Mission, one of the largest social service providers in the Upper South Island.
